Sundance Film Festival
Every January, Hollywood's best and brightest, as well as some of the industry's smartest and skillful movie makers convene in Salt Lake City for the annual Sundance Film Festival. Strategically held a few weeks before the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards, Sundance sets the stage for the films that are poised for receiving awards and brings attention to those that should be.

Salt Lake City Twilight Concert Series
The perfect soundtrack to a summer evening in Salt Lake, the Salt Lake City Twilight Concert Series features musicians from all over the country sharing their talents and stories as their songs take center stage in this very special atmosphere. Presented by the Salt Lake City Arts Council, the event takes place Thursday evenings, July 14th through August 25th at Pioneer Park. There is also an arts and crafts market, food, beverages, and plenty of room to let the kids enjoy the outdoors before the music begins.

Deervalley Music Fest
Classic, symphonic music meets jazz, Broadway, and even Freddie Mercury with this very accessible set of performances that are set to electrify the Deer Valley Snow Park Amphitheater during its annual Deer Valley Music Fest. The music of the Eagles and Queen get the classical treatment, while jazz trumpeter Chris Botti sits in with the Utah Symphony, just to mention a few of the upcoming attractions. Beginning in early July with a patriotic performance and running through early August, every one of these installments in the series is not to be missed.

Days of '47 Parade
The Days of '47 Parade is one of the largest parades in the country. It is held every July 24th, the same day as Pioneer Day which is a state holiday for Utah. This day marks the arrival of Brigham Young and fellow Mormon pioneers to the area after being exiled from Nauvoo, Illinois. The first parade was held in 1849. The Church of Latter Day Saints as well as various businesses and community groups have floats in this spectacular display of community involvement that also acknowledges Utah's rich history.
