Living in Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City is 6,000 feet above sea level, and that high point only sets the standard for the lofty and sometimes dizzying attractions and activities to be seen and experienced. Founded by Brigham Young, this is where the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was born. Also known as the Mormon faith, it inhabits this area as nearly 98 percent of the population is Mormon.
History, art, and tradition all converge in the most unexpected places, whether it's a building that's been standing for hundreds of years, a club that features music that's both classic and modern, or the reflection of the sun on one of the many rock formations in the canyons surrounding the city; all of these elements are vital in creating a pace and quality of life that is as fresh as the mountain air. Aside from the picturesque mountains, it's hard to miss the abundance of ski resorts, boating, rock climbing and various other sports that are enjoyed here. Add to that various forms of very vibrant music and a constantly evolving art scene, and it all works together to create a culturally vibrant city that is always teeming with positive energy and endless possibilities.
